No laboratory replicates the conditions of competitive sport. The combination of extreme mechanical stress, compressed time constraints, and the absolute public accountability of performance results produces engineering data that no controlled test environment can generate at comparable speed or cost.
Apex Armada's sports programmes are constituted as operational research environments. Personnel assigned to Division V are engineers first; the sport provides the conditions, not the purpose.
